I currently cover all of Redditch, Bromsgrove and some surrounding areas including Studley, Alcester, Henley-in-Arden, Astwood Bank, Alvechurch, Feckenham and parts of South Birmingham. If you are unsure if your area is covered, please just get in touch.
My current tuition vehicle is a 2023 Ford Focus ST Line. It is fitted with Dual Controls so that I can keep us both safe. It is also fitted with Hill Start Assist, Auto Hold, Eco Stop/Start, Reversing Parking Sensors and Electric Hand Brake. You will be taught how to drive both with and without these functionalities so that you are prepared to drive any car when you have passed your test.
I currently work Monday to Saturday throughout the day, and some evenings. There may be a possibility to get you started straight away, or may be a short wait. Please get in touch with me for my latest availability.
On your first lesson I will need to check your license and your eyesight is within the legal requirement to drive (with or without glasses, so remember to bring them if you wear them!) I will then drive us to a quiet area where you will be shown all of the controls of the car. If you have drove before, we will then do a short assessment drive to see your capabilities and come up with a training plan together. Don't worry if this is your first lesson, we won't spend the whole time sat at the side of the road (unless this is what you want!). We will work on getting the car moving, and learning how to come to a stop.
No.
You will receive your full hour and will never be expected to drive to pick up my next pupil, or "piggyback" your lessons.
This depends on a number of factors, including how quickly you learn, how quickly you pick up the skills needed to pass the driving test and also how you cope under the added pressures of a test environment. We will work together to get you test ready as soon as is possible, and will do mock tests to gauge if you are ready for the practical test. You can be assured that I won't "drag out" your lessons to make you take more than is needed.
It's all very well taking my word for it, but my ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) badge will be displayed in my windscreen for all lessons. You can also find me listed on the DVSA "Find a Driving Instructor" webpage.
Nope! I am a Female Driving Instructor, but more than happy to teach anyone!
Don't worry. We will take each lesson at a pace to suit you and you won't be expected to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. I have taught many nervous drivers who hated the thought of being on the road, who by the time they passed their test were not only confident in all driving situations, but enjoyed driving. I'm more than happy to tailor lessons to build confidence including driving your usual route to work/school or usual routes you may take. We can even include driving to petrol stations/filling up the vehicle, driving through drive-thrus, multi-storey car parks or anything that will help build your confidence. Nerves are normal, and I will do my best to settle them.
You can pay by Bank Transfer before your lesson, or by cash on the day. Please bring the exact amount if possible.
I can offer an intensive course, however we would have to do a driving assessment to ensure that this is suitable. Alternatively we could look at multiple lessons during the week if you want to get driving as soon as possible. All will be subject to availability.
